Where your data lives — and where it doesn't
Most AI tools quietly send your data across the Atlantic to be processed on US infrastructure. For regulated European organizations — law firms, clinics, financial advisers, public bodies — that's a real concern, and we want to be precise about what's true of Meetwise today versus what we're still building.
Today, every recording, transcript and summary is stored on European cloud infrastructure, in an EU data centre. Transcription and summarization currently run through established third-party AI providers, which is not yet a fully EU-only processing path. Closing that gap — moving AI inference itself onto EU-based infrastructure — is an active project ahead of our production launch, not something we claim is already finished.
We are an EU company, governed by EU law and the GDPR. We are finalizing a Data Processing Agreement and a public sub-processor registry ahead of our first customers going live. One thing you can rely on already: we never use your conversations to train AI models — ours or our providers'.
Retention and deletion controls are part of what we're building for launch: you'll be able to set retention periods that match your policy, with exact documentation of when deletion happens across active systems and backups — precise defaults you can check, not a vague promise.

Where we stand today
We don't hold ISO, SOC 2 or NEN 7510 certifications yet, and we won't claim them until we do. Here's what's actually true right now, and what's still in progress.
